Starting in September 2006, El Marino will have a school counselor one day a week. The counselor will be responding to the needs of the school community, and may provide individual or group counseling. Topics may include development of social skills, dealing with divorce, and dealing with bereavement. Parents will be contacted for permission for their students to attend these sessions.
If you feel your child could benefit, please be sure to let the classroom teacher know. The school psychologist will continue to work with students who have an IEP [Individual Education Program].
