What is a Dual Language Program?

 ·       Integrates English-speaking students and speakers of the target language (Japanese) for academic instruction.  

·       Students learn the academic content and gain proficiency in English and Japanese

·       Special emphasis is placed on the active use of instructional strategies that promote cross-cultural cooperation and learning.

·       英語のネイティブスピーカーと日本語を話す児童が一緒に授業を受けます。

Program Curriculum

 The standards and curriculum at El Marino Language School are the same as for all students in the Culver City Unified School District.  Teachers carefully select the language of instruction depending on the subject and the theme.
