Science Fair

All students are invited to participate in El Marino's 22nd Annual Science Fair!  The Science Fair is a fantastic learning opportunity filled with amazement and wonder, a chance to express curiosity and initiative while discovering the MAGIC of SCIENCE!
Students can work individually or in a group, then display their awesome science project for all students and their families to see on the day of the event.
Student participation is optional, but highly encouraged!  Learn how to use a microscope or make glow in the dark goo!  Students who participate will get a fun prize and earn extra credit for their science grade (check with your child's teacher for details).

How do I start?
A good science project starts with a question...
  • What are the effects of pollution?
  • What is the best time to plant soybeans?
  • What is the best way to heat water using just sunlight?
  • What are the effects of pollution?
  • What type of wings make a paper airplane fly the farthest?
Where can I get some ideas?

Anything else I should know about?
Yes!  The PTA will be hosting a phenomenal science assembly for our students on Wednesday, March 17, delivered by Prismatic Magic Laser Programs!  Over the past 15 years, Prismatic has delivered cutting edge laser light assemblies to more than 10,000 schools across the United States.  The assembly will consist of a 20-minute science presentation followed by an exciting 40-minute laser show!

Note: While entering the assembly the room will be dark and some younger kids may get frightened.  Parents please inform them of this so they are prepared.
