What is a Dual Language Program?

 

·       Integrates English-speaking students and speakers of the target language (Spanish) for academic instruction.  

·       Students learn the academic content and gain proficiency in English and

       Spanish.

·       Special emphasis is placed on the active use of instructional strategies that promote cross-cultural cooperation and learning.

 

 

¿Que Es Un Programa De Instruccion Bilingue?

 

·       Integra a los estudiantes que hablan el inglés y a los que hablan el idioma

       objetivo (español) para la instrucción académica.

·       Los estudiantes aprenden el contenido académico y obtienen habilidad en el inglés y en español.

·       Se aplica un énfasis especial en el uso activo de las estratégias educacionales que promueven la cooperación y el aprendizaje  de diferentes culturas.

2.     Academic Achievement in both English and the Spanish.

Program Curriculum

 

The standards and curriculum at El Marino Language School are the same as for all students in the Culver City Unified School District.  Teachers carefully select the language of instruction depending on the subject and the theme.

Los estándares y el plan de estudios de la Escuela de Idiomas de El Marino, son iguales que para todos los estudiantes en el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Culver City. Los profesores seleccionan cuidadosamente el idioma de la instrucción, dependiendo de la materia y del tema.

 

How do I enroll my child?
Kindergarten Information Night for El Marino will be held in early Spring every year. Please check back on the El Marino website or the CCUSD website.   Culver City residents should attend the information night at both your home school and El Marino for registration procedures.
