Monday, October 24th, will be the start of Red Ribbon Week (RRW) at El Marino. This year’s theme will be Creating a Caring Community: Respecting Ourselves and Others. As you may know, RRW is a national program supported by the PTA that brings awareness to children about the importance of living a drug free life. Here at El Marino, we use Red Ribbon Week as an opportunity to highlight the District’s Anti-Bullying Campaign. In fact, it is our aim to put a positive spin on leading healthy lifestyles, respecting ourselves and others, and embracing our differences with the hope that we can put an end to bullying at our school. See below for our planned activities.
Monday, Oct. 24th
- Kids will tie a red ribbon to their backpacks and keep it on all week to signify their pledge to the anti-bullying campaign, and as a reminder to respect themselves and others.

The stories are used for the purpose of spinning a tale, but always to instill in the listeners the spirit of an honorable life and the value of living in harmony with others; and to inspire them to make positive contributions to society. His songs explore a love for people, music and the planet and allow the audience to feel, laugh and think about themselves in relationship to the world around them.”
