All fifth graders have the opportunity to participate in a lunchtime recess intramural sports league throughout the school year. Soccer is the first sports league. Students will play with their own classmates and have an eight game schedule against other fifth grade classes. Basketball is the second league. Students are allowed in this league to choose their own teams from any fifth grade class. If there are students that are unable to find enough players, individuals will be grouped together to form a team. The last league is aerial football. This is a passing and catching football game much like ultimate frisbee where all players are quarterbacks and wide receivers.
