The parent groups described in this section hold regular meetings, which are open to the public. Please see the school calendar for specific dates and times. The School Site Council, ALL-EM, and the GATE Advisory Committee meet on weekday evenings. The PTA and ELAC meet on weekday mornings.
Each group has its specific function. The School Site Council, comprised of parents and staff members, serves in an advisory capacity and helps make decisions on how School Library and Improvement funds are allocated. The ELAC and GATE Advisory Committees are parent advisory groups who monitor our programs and make recommendations to improve student achievement . PTA and ALLEM are support groups; they raise funds to pay for important elements of the school program not covered by the regular budget from the
School District.
All groups welcome attendance and active parent involvement. All meetings are listed on the monthly school calendar included with the school newsletter. Any parent is welcome to attend any listed meeting.
For meetings in the library, enter via the driveway between El Marino and Culver Park, on Port Road. For meetings in the cafeteria or conference room, the front doors of the school will be unlocked.
