Folk Bank Class Rules and Expectations (Grades 3 – 5)

• Practice is at lunchtime every Thursday unless announced.
• I will do my best to eat lunch quickly and arrive on time every week.
• I will bring my song sheets to every practice.  

• 
  General Tips for Folk BandI will be attentive.
• I will assist setting up and storing instruments and music.
• I will attend extra rehearsals before a concert.

• Memorize the songs in order to play and sing at the same time.
• Listen to other players in the ensemble to keep the rhythm.
• Sing loudly! Have fun!

Information for Folk Band

• Third graders will mainly play varied percussion instruments.
• Fourth and Fifth graders will play percussion and string instruments, including Appalachian dulcimer (provided by FB), violins*, acoustic guitars*, autoharp.
• We need parent volunteers to assist in class!

**Violin and guitar players must have their own instruments
